That is the road we all have to take - over the Bridge of Sighs into eternity - Kierkegaard

I am sure this wonderful quote from Henry James applies to many professions but it has always seemed an absolutely apposite description of teaching.  Or maybe it's just me.

The deranged seer...gives vowels colors and consonants carking care (Jack Kerouac)

I've come to look for America (Paul Simon)

The feverish flux of human interface (Rush)

The influence of a vital person vitalises  - Joseph Campbell

Free fall flow, river flow (The Doors)

I collected this card from The Millennium Hotel in Dubai. We'd often head there for a weekend from Al Ain because it was a fantastic location - close to the rail link to the Malls, across the road from Paul's  (in The BurJuman Centre ) and close enough to the airport. We became regulars (we even had a loyalty card) - it was a cosy mid-priced hotel, the staff were great and they hooked me forever with this card placed in our room: Never look at the doors closing behind you or you'll miss the ones opening ahead.
